lyrics
In the realm where shadows lie
He descends from the sky
Bearing souls, jackal's garms
Death's grim reaper rules the night
Amidst the sands of ancient lore
Amidst the cries of the lost souls
His judgment keen, his scales of fate
You will tremble as you face his gate
I'm Anubis, of the underworld
I'm guiding the departed as they unfurl
With the scepter raised, in darkness I roam
Silent guard of forgotten tombs
First, the sin of theft so grave
Like stealing treasures from the grave
Next, the sin of falsehood's guise
Spreading deceit with wicked eyes
Third, the sin of betrayal's stain
Friendship shattered for personal gain
Fourth, the sin of pride
Arrogance that leads to a dreadful cry
Fifth, the sin of greed's allure
Hoarding wealth with hearts impure
Sixth, the sin of blasphemy's breath
Disrespecting gods, inviting death
I'm Anubis, of the underworld
I'm guiding the departed as they unfurl
With the scepter raised, in darkness I roam
Silent guard of forgotten tombs
Seventh sin of the vengeance sought
Bloodshed and revenge of the battles fought
Eighth, is the sin of lust's embrace
Unholy desires, a forbidden chase
Ninth, the sin of sacrilege profound
Defiling temples, desecrating holy ground
Tenth, the sin of tyranny's grip
Oppressing the weak with a merciless whip
I'm Anubis, of the underworld
I'm guiding the departed as they unfurl
With the scepter raised, in darkness I roam
Silent guard of forgotten tombs
The scales of justice, balance the truth
Determining fates, both old and new
The scales of justice, balanced the truth
Determining fates, both old and new
The realm where the shadows lie
Anubis reigns supreme
Bow down to your king
The realm where the shadows lie
Anubis reigns supreme
Bow down to your king
Meet The Last Oblation, an unrelenting force in blackened death metal.
Our chaotic live performances and unique style are here to stay.
Prepare for a sonic onslaught that pushes boundaries and transcends darkness.
Desolator have the distinction of creating music that should appeal to any fan of the various death metal sub genres. You’re going to find both brutal (Adversarial Doctrine) and melodic (Methods of Self-deception) tracks; the album has an old school feel while not really falling into OSDM worship. The technical aspect is by no means central, but tech death fans should appreciate the riff craft on display (Creatures of Habit). I even got a Sepultura vibe from the drums on the last track. Metallurgical Fire
Absolutely crushing dissonant death metal!
With great production and tight performance from these meat sacks, this dark brutal dissonant masterpiece will be on my favorite list forever.
Don't pass up this album, trust me it's fuckin great!
